Situation: This 48-year old property and casualty insurance company needed a way to break throught the clutter in the crowded auto insurance space and create a better digital experience.
Solution: We created a digital brand platform, fully integrated with all traditional marketing and advertising. The entire campaign was driven by a quirky conspiracy-buff character, Dr. D.B. Selwick, who believed that the only worldy explanation for Mercury's low rates was that they were being run by aliens from the planet Mercury.
Results: Qualified leads increased over 25% over the first six months which translated into a 12% increase in premiums. Independent brand awareness studies showed a 40% lift in recognition, finishing only second to GEICO in their key California markets.
